Cedar Crest Inn invited Rob Freet to display in their dining and other public spaces. Rob's bright impressionistic and fauvist paintings belong in this 1890's Inn. Such paintings were popular during that time. The works also brighten up the somewhat dark interior created by the extensive antique woodwork.

The subject of the show is mostly local Western North Carolina scenery, activities and wildlife. Each painting is accompanied with a plaque telling the location details. The result is a travel guide for visitors and an opportunity to purchase an original painting as a souvenir created by a local artist. Enjoy.

The Albemarle Inn is a 1909 Greek Revival mansion restored to a be a gracious, romantic inn. Rob Freet's often impressionistic and fauvist works are displayed in the great room, up the stairs and both dining rooms. The subject of the show is mostly local scenery, activities, wildlife and flowers. The plaque on each painting tells the location of the scene, acting as a local travel guide.
